Meet The Team: Kyle Copenhaver

Kyle Copenhaver is a medical student at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in East TN. Hailing from Knoxville, TN, his introduction to FFRI came at the AOCPMR mid-year meeting in 2023 in Philadelphia, PA, when he met members as they were discussing current and future projects. He introduced himself, they all bonded with the help of comic relief about the rigors of medical school, and his involvement with FFRI grew from there. Kyle first kindled his interest in research in his undergraduate studies at East TN State University in the Applied Psychology Lab and the Electrochemistry Lab. His research interests include rare neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury and its sequelae, and behavioral health. Kyle's future clinical interest is in PM&R and includes pain management and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. In his free time, Kyle enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks, working out, spending time with his mom and family, meditation, and poetry.
