Meet The Team: Nicholas Averell

Nicholas Averell is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board for Future Forward Research Institute (FFRI).  At Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine, he founded the OMM Clinic Research team and later assisted in RowanSOM PMR Pals, a RowanSOM student-led research group dedicated to the field of physiatry, leading to numerous publications and presentations. Outside of research, Nick has been awarded the AACOM Gold Touch Award multiple times for his commitment to community service in line with osteopathic principles and was selected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society by his teachers and peers. As chairman of the Board, Nick is dedicated to the mentorship and development of the next generation of student researchers, helping create quality research that contributes to the development of evidence-based medicine (particularly in PM&R) and helps students reach their career aspirations.
